Specification: The new 46% Amruts are a very different proposition to the pleasant but unexciting original release. At the higher strength this 24ppm peated effort fairly fizzes along the tastebuds. This is excellent - hugely improved stuff from a distillery coming along in leaps and bounds.
Specification: While most distilleries use their Coffey stills only to make grain whisky, Nikka use the two Coffey stills at their Miyagikyo distillery to create malt whisky too. The Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky was introduced to their selection of expressions in 2014. Plenty rich and flavoursome, it's a wonderful addition to Nikka's fantastic range.
Specification: 'Edited' is an Indian single malt whisky created by Master Distiller Michael John using Indian 6-row barley as well as peated Scottish barley. The final vatting contains 15% of the peated spirit with maturation taking place in bourbon casks.
