Specification: A special edition from Jack Daniel's, celebrating one of the whiskey's biggest fans – Frank Sinatra. For more than 50 years, JD was a firm favourite of Ol' Blue Eyes, regularly appearing in his hand as a tipple of choice. This release is not only bottled at a stronger 45%, but is also partly matured in 'Sinatra barrels', grooved on the inside to allow more wood/spirit interaction, developing a deeper and more intense flavour.
Specification: Kilbeggan is named after St Bécán, one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland who founded a monastery in the area in the 6th century. Smooth and malty.
Specification: Chivas Regal 12 is a blend of many different malt and grain Scotch whiskies, matured for at least 12 years. This rich, smooth blend combines style with substance and tradition. For James Chivas, there were two fundamental principles of blending: ‘old, mature stocks and a distinct Speyside accent’. Master Blender Colin Scott adheres to those same principles today, with whiskies at least 12 years old with a generous measure of Speyside malts.
Specification: The second bottling 'The Journey' recreating the whisky found in Antartica which has part of Ernest Shackletons Expedition to Antartica in 1907 aboard the ship, Nimrod. Expertly recreated by head distillery Richard Paterson of Whyte & Mackay. Presented in an authentic bottle of that time. The Journey Edition of Mackinlay's takes the same base of single malts used to create the original Discovery Edition and, still inspired by the original recipe, builds on them to create a noticeably different dram - a more elegant and refined interpretation.
