Specification: Old Ballantruan is a superb peated malt, produced at Speyside's Tomintoul distillery using heavily peated barley. This is the first ever bottling with an age statement, and it comes at a punchy 50%ABV. Very good stuff!
Specification: Further out to sea and deep beneath the waves lies Gold Reef. Named for the way the glow of the sun's rays reflect off the coral seabed, this same old catches the eye inside every bottle of Gold Reef. Predominately matured in 1st fill ex-bourbon casks, it rewards with notes of smooth vanilla, citrus fruits and sea salt.
Specification: Master distiller Jim McEwan specially chose the casks that create the Port Charlotte Scottish Barley, which highlight the elegance within this heavily peated single malt. Made with 100% Scottish barley and matured in the village of Port Charlotte.Full of depth and complexity, the smokey sweetness of the barley contrasts beautifully with the marine freshness of the spirit and the richness of toffee and vanilla. The complexity is enhanced further with a citrus twist and then mellow oak tempers the fire. Once the taste buds adjust to what is happening, they rejoice in the company and pleasure of this young Celt.
