The addition of American oak bourbon seasoned barrels imparts aromas and flavors slightly drier and more oaky than the american oak sherry casks, with more pronounced aromas and flavors of coconut, but still with the lighter colors and sweetness associated with American oak. 25 Years Old - a flavour explosion of fruit, vanilla and wood smoke. Colour: Bright Amber. Nose: Rich and robust with a hint of peach, blood orange and wood spice. Palate: Intense, coconut and vanilla with a hint of sultana, lemon and peat. Finish: Lingering with a hint of sherry, orange and spice.

The final replica bottle of Mackinlay’s blend contains whiskies from Speyside, the Island, and the Highlands, and the recipe even includes some very rare 1983 Glen Mhor!
