Specification: Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance. Named World Whisky of the Year in 2008. Non chill-filtered with a strength of 46% ABV. Ardbeg has been called “as close to perfection as makes no difference,” by whisky connoisseurs. Proof then, that Ardbeg truly deserves its incredible reputation. It’s a whisky that’s worshipped around the world and has been named ‘World Whisky of the Year’ no less than 4 times out of the last 7 years…
Specification: Vanilla spice and ripe citrus running into dried fruits and nuttiness with a splash of fudge and honeyed notes. Layered fruits and spice combine with cinnamon baked apple wrestling with raisin and plum pudding. The dram opens out to reveal warming barley and a hint of sweet pear. A classic Single Malt with punch that dances on the palate. The trademark Arran barley-sweetness shines through the layers of complexity. Each sip reveals new depths.
Specification: Matured in ex-bourbon barrels (various vintages) and finished for 18 months in American oak quarter casks for greater interaction. Bothy harks back to the 18th and 19th centuries on the Isle of Arran when smaller casks were favoured for logistical reasons, whilst delivering gorgeous vanilla and spice flavours. It's also bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.7% abv without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. 12,000 bottles have been released.
