Specification: Kilbeggan is named after St Bécán, one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland who founded a monastery in the area in the 6th century. Smooth and malty.
Specification: The second bottling 'The Journey' recreating the whisky found in Antartica which has part of Ernest Shackletons Expedition to Antartica in 1907 aboard the ship, Nimrod. Expertly recreated by head distillery Richard Paterson of Whyte & Mackay. Presented in an authentic bottle of that time. The Journey Edition of Mackinlay's takes the same base of single malts used to create the original Discovery Edition and, still inspired by the original recipe, builds on them to create a noticeably different dram - a more elegant and refined interpretation.
