Specification: Produced by John Distilleries in Goa, India, the Paul John range of single malt whiskies (named after their Chairman) represents a move into premium spirits for a company who are already big players in the Indian molasses 'whisky' market. Made using Indian 6-row barley from the Himalayan foothills, Brilliance is matured in bourbon barrels for 3-5 years before bottling at cask strength. (As with Amrut, the tropical climate cause greater evaporation, around 12-13% a year, but in turn they show very well at younger ages.)
Specification: Tamdhu 10 Year Old is Tamdhu's signature malt and the first release in slowly maturing range of exquisite whiskies. Matured exclusively in sherry oak casks, the finest in the whisky industry, ensures every drop is as magnificent now as Tamdhu's founders envisioned over a century ago. Finally, 10 long years are required to allow these fine casks to do their work, giving Tamdhu its wondrous natural colour and award-winning quality.
Specification: One of two releases from the anCnoc range launched in the first half of 2015, the Black Hill Reserve is an impressive single malt Scotch whisky which has been allowed to mature in first fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV. The name of this release comes from the name of the distillery, Knockdhu, which means Black Hill in Gaelic.
