Specification: This is the first chance to try whisky produced by the recently re-opened Glenglassaugh Distillery. It was closed in 1986 but resumed production in 2008. Matured in a mixture of first and refill bourbon casks, this was finished for 6 months in first-fill oloroso sherry butts.Revival is a copper coloured scotch whisky. Sweet caramel and toffee with notes of nutty sherry, milk chocolate and honey. Ripe plums, red berries and oranges. Caramelised sugar and earthy, charred oak on the nose. Sweet, rounded and creamy.
Specification: Introduced in early 2014, this is a 25 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery - an addition to their core range. The Highlands distillery uses unpeated malt for this whisky, which is then matured for a quarter of a century in Sherry casks.
